All for Offshore and Deutsche Windtechnik conclude first independent Offshore Service Contract with RWE
This met mast is the central system for the control and monitoring of the offshore project during the construction period until 2013 as well as subsequent years of operation.
Part of the agreement includes the maintenance and repair of the supporting structure above water, the lattice masts, power supply, safety facilities and measuring technology. The North Sea island of Helgoland is the basis for such work, where A40 has had its own office since last year. “The met mast serves to generate decisive data for the complete construction and operation phase of the project, Nordsee Ost“, says Oliver Heinecke, Managing Director of A4O, explaining the background to the project. A total of 48 wind turbines of Class 6MW are planned for the project, Nordsee Ost.
Competent Offshore Services from under one Roof
A4O are experts in offshore wind energy and maritime logistics. Together with their specialized partners in the fields of port, transport and ship logistics, offshore project planning and technical service, A40 can provide a wide range of offshore services and can ensure responsibility for the management of such services. Oliver Heinecke: „Technology, staff, nautical issues – we bring the various offshore disciplines together.“ The portfolio of services includes the organization and project management of all maritime services, transport and port logistics, QHSE/safety tests/consultancy, servicing (maintenance, repair, inspections, improvements), consulting/concept report/drawing up contracts, numerous crafts/trades: corrosion and coating, operations monitoring, initiation, traffic safety.
In close cooperation with Deutsche Windtechnik, A4O provides technical servicing and repair of turbines, rotor blades, towers, foundations and cables during the operating phase. Deutsche Technik is also involved in technical inspection. Other extensive services for the offshore wind industry are currently being planned.
