LEITWIND on course for success in Southern Italy
The worldwide sales expectations are more than encouraging: with a plus of 22.5 percent the executive board anticipates € 200 Mio turnover.
The new wind park in Apulia with 16 wind turbines of the type LTW80 (1.5 MW) will produce 57 GWh of clean energy for over 18.000 households. At the same time around 49.000 tons of CO2 can be saved. Due to the perfect wind conditions in that region the requirement for wind production are ideal.
Leitwind was contracted by Elce Energia Spa to build the wind farm „Deliceto“ in Apulia, in the province Foggia. The association of the company group EFFEBI HOLDING of the family Bonassisa will invest a total amount of € 45 Mio in the project. „LEITWIND is responsible for the transport, installation and commissioning of the wind park. Furthermore a full service contract for 15 year was finalized, which guarantees an efficient production and an optimal technical availability”, states LEITWIND CEO Anton Seeber. “This order is of high importance for the further development of renewable energy in this region. Moreover the project creates new jobs in a region which has to deal with a high unemployment rate”, emphasizes Seeber.
